This is my pre-writing for my Literary Narrative essay. I broke up the main points I wanted to talk about, then added some details and key points about that topic. This was different for me because I don’t typically pre-write. Usually, I come up with what I’m writing as I write it. This made it hard for me to the activity because I didn’t really know where to start or what to put down because I’m not familiar with the process. It was helpful because when I went to write, IĀ  knew what I was going to put down, so it made actually writing go quicker.

Literacy NarrativeĀ

The revision process of this essay was different then the ones I have done in the past. The peer review is what made the difference. Because of the guideline of what we needed to review, I received many helpful comments that helped me grow the structure of my essay and further develop the ideas in my essay, rather than surface level changes like I have received in previous peer reviews. The revisions were very helpful, so my revision process didn’t take that long. I still took time coming up with how I was going to rework and reword my essay, but the process was accelerated because I knew what I needed to change.

I’m not sure how I feel about my finished product, and I don’t think I will be until I receive a grade on it. I know that this essay would be considered a good essay at my high school, but I’m unsure of what the the grading is like at UNE.

To be honest I didn’t learn much while re-envisioning my narrative besides how frustrated iMovie can make me.
